MerchantCantos

This project involved a complete rebrand and re-do of MerchantCantos' corporate site. The backend is Umbraco driven, for which we created bespoke frontend templates using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and microdata.

The JavaScript and CSS compilation, concatenation and minification were done with Visual Studio (Web Essentials), with the CSS written in SASS.

The videos on the site make use of a custom implementation of the Vimeo API to allow for complete UI customisation of the poster image, responsive behaviour and play button.

Animated illustrations were produced with Adobe Animate and had a custom waypoint actuated playback trigger written (using ƒixx waypoints) to start playback once an animation is scrolled into view.

Where necessary, 3rd party JavaScript plugins such as Modernizr, bxSlider, TypeAhead and ƒixx were used.

The site was also tagged with appropriate structured data where the content supports it.
