CityUnscripted

This consumer facing site is targeted at tourists wanting a more personalised tour guide experience. CityUnscripted got me on board in transitioning from 3rd party agency hosting to a self hosted solution. Their backend is driven by PHP Phalcon and the frontend makes use of bespoke HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and various 3rd party add-ons such as Bootstrap, BX Slider, Masonry and ƒixx (amongst others)

As part of the transition, we reviewed their existing front end code, frontend build process and created new functionality. We have also written documentation for their developers to help with handovers in future and to outline how to get set up and use NPM and Grunt on this project.

The css is pre-processed with LESS. JavaScript concatenated and minified using Grunt and larger 3rd party libraries sourced from CDNs to benefit from faster content delivery. Gallery images batch optimised with irfanview.
